"Passive majority"/ Tabaku: SP has no political will to advance
Jorida Tabaku

Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, commented in today's plenary session in the Parliament, on the European Parliament's report on elections and the issue of integration.

Tabaku asked Spiropali why the report was not included on the agenda for discussion, while further accusing the majority of being uninterested in discussing integration issues.

According to Tabaku, there is a lack of political will on the part of the majority to advance integration, while adding that the Assembly needs to have a debate on the discussions in the European Parliament and on the OSCE-ODIHR report.

Tabaku: The majority MPs are not coming to the meeting and I am calling on you as the Speaker of the Parliament to take charge of the Socialist Party group. To sit down, come and approve that there is a parliamentary agenda. Today, Madam Speaker, we did not have on the agenda to discuss the report of the National Integration Council that is ready there. You did not put it on the agenda to discuss. Today, on the agenda, we could have discussed the report of the European Parliament that passed the foreign affairs committee, which was not put back on the agenda.

I understand that the SP GP will not be here in September, but this is not our problem, this is your problem. The Parliament needs to have a debate on the discussions in the European Parliament, on the report on the elections, on the OSCE - ODIHR report. Because the word integration at the end of the day is a standard. And it starts from the election standards. So I am sorry that even those laws and reports that are ready were not put on the agenda. The DP parliamentary group has proposed more than 60 initiatives and none are being discussed. I understand that there is a lack of political will to advance integration.
