Trump warns of return to Kosovo-Serbia issue: Biden damaged it

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has returned attention to the Kosovo-Serbia issue.

Today he promised to deal with the issue of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, while commenting on the escalation of Israel-Iran tensions. 

Through a post on his platform, Truth Social, Trump said that during his first term he had managed to prevent a potential Kosovo-Serbia conflict, which he described as a risk of a war breaking out.

" During my first term, Serbia and Kosovo were clashing forcefully, as they have for decades, and this long-running conflict was on the verge of erupting into war ," Trump wrote.

He also criticized President Joe Biden, accusing him of damaging the prospects for a lasting peace in the Balkans with several "stupid decisions."

"I stopped it. Biden has damaged the long-term prospects with some very stupid decisions, but I will fix it again ," Trump added.

In 2020, during Trump's presidency, Kosovo and Serbia signed an economic normalization agreement at the White House, mediated by the US administration.

However, this agreement was not implemented during the Biden administration.
