Prime Minister Edi Rama's attempt to present a positive picture of Vlora has brought a harsh reaction from citizens.

In a Facebook post where Rama promotes the so-called "May 11 Team", which according to him is on the ground to listen to citizens' concerns and to "repay the moral debt of 9 mandates", citizens' comments show a completely opposite reality.

Another citizen addresses Rama in harsh tones: " Send the mechanics to the streets where the sidewalks are occupied by illegal services. No one is held accountable. You feel like you're in Mumbai!"

But it is Vlora that seems to have angered citizens the most.

"Vlora has become Kabul, it has been torn to pieces! Drinking water is mixed with feces, poverty is rampant, canals are opened and closed every day!" - writes one commentator.

Someone else describes the city as "Colombia, chaos and nothing more!"
