Britain-Ukraine agreement signed for 5,000 Thales missiles

The agreement, previously announced by London, for the delivery of 5,000 new Thales air defense missiles to Kiev was officially signed today by the British and Ukrainian governments.

The agreement, described as "historic" by Ukrainian media, was signed in Rome, on the sidelines of the reconstruction conference, by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, who met with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Rayner represented Starmer, who remained in London for the summit with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The previously announced British commitment to provide aid to Kiev worth an additional £283 million in 2025 was also confirmed.
