CEC reveals details from the vote recount: Over 2 thousand polling stations

The Chief Commissioner of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, has revealed details regarding the vote recount process in four districts of the country, which is expected to begin tomorrow. 

In an official response, Celibashi explains that the vote recount will take place in Tirana, Fier, Durrës and Elbasan. The head of the CEC adds that a total of 2,323 voting centers will be opened, including 85 ballot boxes from abroad.

The process will be carried out by 24 counting groups, with 63 administration employees (48 counters + 15 substitutes). The recount will be carried out at 24 tables, where authorized observers from the 3 complaining entities are present: the DP-ASHM Coalition, the SP and the Mundësia Party.

While providing details in figures for each district for the recount of votes, Celibashi added that this process also has a budget. In total, according to him, the process will cost around 21 million lek.
