Earthquake hits northern Macedonia, tremors felt in Albania

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in the early hours of this morning in the southwestern part of North Macedonia.

Neighboring media report that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers, at coordinates 41.180° north latitude and 20.860° east longitude, or about 9 kilometers northeast of Ohrid.

The earthquake was also reportedly felt in neighboring regions, including parts of Albania - 66 kilometers east-northeast of Elbasan.

There are no reports of injuries or material damage. Seismological services continue to monitor the situation.
