Vote recount in Tirana, Këlliçi: We want Alimehmet's mandate
The political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has spoken about the process that will begin next week by the Central Election Commission to recount the votes for the capital, following the request of two opposition members of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission. 

In an interview with MCN TV, Këlliçi stated that the Democratic Party's focus in this process is to recover the 14th mandate belonging to candidate Ilir Alimehmeti, who managed to receive 18,000 preferential votes. 

He says that the opposition has lost mandates from invalid votes and that for a handful of votes the DP was denied its 14th mandate in the capital.
