"The majority is pushing for the opposition's laws"/ Shehu to the
Tritan Shehu

Today's plenary session in the Assembly has started with tensions. At the start of the session, opposition MP Tritan Shehu complained that the majority is dragging out draft laws proposed by the opposition.

Shehu brought as an example the DP's initiative for the resolution condemning the Serbian genocide in Kosovo as well as the bill for recognizing only the two genders, male and female.

Shehu demands that the latest initiative be put to a vote in one of the two remaining parliamentary sessions before the assembly closes, even though he expressed awareness that the majority vote would be against it.

"Parliament should take a break... the proceedings.... If you are going to put the parliament on an unjustified break... Madam Speaker, you are completely destroying the procedural side of the process. Draft laws have been submitted by us, you are pushing them, you are not bringing them, you did the same for the genocide in Kosovo, you pushed it, you left it out, you did not bring it, so also for the one with two genders, one parent and two parents, you are deliberately not bringing it, you are seriously harming the family. Let's pass that draft law in one of the two remaining sessions, but I know your votes, the essence for human society and the family, so let's pass it", said Shehu.
