Former Defense Minister Fatmir Mediu has commented on the Iran-Israel conflict.

Invited to Euronews Albania, he said that the conflict in the Middle East is ancient and very difficult to resolve. According to Mediu, there are several factors in this conflict, economic, political and religious.

"A day ago, the agency in Vienna that oversees the process raised the alarm that Iran was no longer accepting the verification processes of uranium enrichment in centrifuges. It was said that within a week Iran could manage to build atomic weapons and then nuclear ballistic missiles. This would make the situation much more complicated and much more difficult," said Mediu.

The former minister also said that Iran has been a big problem for the US.

"In December, at the IDU meeting in Washington, Waltz explained that the biggest problem for the US was Iran. For the first time, I heard there that Iran had tried to shoot down President Donald Trump's plane during the election campaign, " Mediu said.
