Berisha presents the program for pensioners: You will have a Consumer Card, the

Democratic Party Leader Sali Berisha has presented the program for pensioners.

Berisha said that pensioners will have their food VAT reduced by 20%, the list of medicine reimbursements will be expanded, and the price of energy and water will be reduced.

Berisha: Is this enough? No. But we will determine some other facilities for the first 100 days. Pensioners will not buy food the same as salaried workers. Pensioners will buy it at that price, but the state will refund them the VAT on the price, the 20 percent.

Edi Rama promised, if you remember, in 2013, that food would not be sold at these prices, that we would remove VAT from prices. Not only did he not remove it, but the prices almost doubled.

Meanwhile, we are introducing a consumer card, which every pensioner and every low-income earner will have and will receive a VAT refund of around 450 euros per year. That's roughly equivalent to 3 current pensions.

We will expand the list of reimbursements for medicines. Two things about medicines. I guarantee that unsafe medicines will not enter Albania categorically because we will restore the law that they had, which prohibited the marketing of medicines that were not marketed in at least two EU countries.

Medicines marketed in the EU are checked by the EU Medicines Agency and are certain that they contain the active ingredient that works and do not contain other dangerous substances. We are reinstating this law in the first 100 days.

We will reduce the price of electricity from 9.5, which was now, to 7.

We will halve the water tariff for pensioners and low-income earners.

So, with all these measures, we believe we hope to alleviate the economic and social situation of this honorable stratum that is in a virtually inhumane situation.

It is important that you discuss this package in those meetings you have with your friends, with your people, of every political persuasion.

We call it a compassion package, that's what it deserves. Because if there is pain, you have to recognize that there is pain and fight to eliminate this pain.

And in fact, today there is pain. The one who receives 130 euros, 120 euros, 150 euros, he is in pain. If he is not helped by someone, he remains without medicine or without bread.

May 11th is an opportunity to make a difference.

Edi Rama is seeking a fourth term. He is seeking a new pyramid of deceit. He is seeking a further destruction of Albania, another exodus of Albanians and further impoverishment. He is seeking the concentration of wealth and power in a small handful of people who go and spend 10 thousand euros a month just to wash their cars. Where did he get it, imagine how much the prime minister spends on washing his cars.

May 11 is a day that makes a big difference and I invite every pensioner, regardless of their beliefs, to join in this common effort.

Let us separate ourselves from this pain that is felt throughout Albanian society.

Let's move forward, change it, and move forward, make Albania livable.

Albania is not livable in this way with this poverty.
