Berisha: Every Albanian will receive 200 euros per month

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has promised that every Albanian will receive 200 euros per month. According to him, this program aims to help those living in extreme poverty, providing a minimum support of 6.3 euros per day for each individual, which, according to Berisha, will help them get out of misery.

Excerpt from the speech of DP leader Sali Berisha:

First of all, I thank you with the deepest gratitude for this warm and enthusiastic welcome.

I greet each of you, I greet the citizens of this neighborhood.

I greet the President of the Democratic Party, our candidates for MPs, and everyone present here.

Dear friends, today we are in this meeting to discuss the DP program with you, with the aim of you discussing this program, presenting it to every citizen of this neighborhood, but also to every acquaintance of yours wherever they are.

If we focus on this campaign, you will find that those who governed for 12 years, those who have been in power for 2 months, have mostly presented a distorted copy of our program.

And then the rest is a kind of contempt for citizens.

What if you, prime minister for 12 years, come out before the citizens and talk about toads, lizards, frogs, those who can't buy medicine, those who can't make it through the month with food, those who have sick people in hospitals without treatment, those who no matter how much they share on the table, it's not enough for their children and they are forced to tell them to follow the ways of the world, because we can't do it here.

If you, the prime minister, present the budget of 8 billion in January, penny for penny of your sweat and taxes, and leave 16 million euros for 780 thousand pensioners and tell them that we are increasing their pensions or setting the minimum living wage at 200 euros, we will fall into the abyss. You refuse to vote on the law with heartlessness and when you see that people are looking at you with contempt, when you see that people are understanding that you do not feel for them, then you come out and cheat, you go back to your old weapon and say you will make your pension 200 euros, but in 2030.

My friends, we come before you with a program, which I guarantee you has the best experience of our past, but also has the best opinion of institutions and specialists, not only Albanian, but also foreign.

This program will be launched urgently to help those most in need.

And those who are most in need are those who live in extreme poverty.

They are those who can't finish the month with three meals.

They are the ones who have been identified. Children's organizations prove that 18 percent of families cannot provide their children with three meals. These same organizations say that 41 percent of families cannot provide their children with proper nutrition.

You may meet elderly people who don't buy their medicine, who have difficulty eating.

Then we have an urgent intervention and this urgent intervention is the establishment of a living wage of 200 euros.

Every Albanian will receive 200 euros, which means that they will have 6.3 euros a day. With 6.3 euros a day, they can get out of poverty, there is still poverty, but not misery.

This is an international standard, this is a real standard.
