AKU inspects private entities in Vlora for chicken meat with Salmonella

The National Food Authority (AKU) has exercised strict controls today in the city of Vlora, focusing mainly on private entities that may be trading chicken meat contaminated with salmonella.

According to reports, inspectors have extended their controls to villages and city neighborhoods to prevent the possible distribution of this health-hazardous product.

Part of the controls also include the city's restaurants and fast-food outlets, which are required to respect food safety standards.

All private entities have been supplied with information boards at the entrance, which identify products containing salmonella and warn consumers of the risk.
