The member of the leadership of the Democratic Party has reacted harshly to the police violence that was exercised against Adriatik Alimadhi, the chairman of the National Front, during a police action in Tirana.

Këlliçi has accused the authorities of violating the law and using violence, emphasizing that this act is part of a coordinated revenge by the government against the opposition.

He has sharply criticized the involvement of the police in activities related to sports betting and stressed that this event is an example of the crackdown on opposition leaders in the regime's efforts to maintain control.

Statement by member of the DP leadership, Belind Këlliçi:

The narco-state police entered a private environment yesterday by force, without a warrant, and in violation of the law, raping the leader of one of the opposition parties, Mr. Adriatik Alimadhi.

The images are clear. Plainclothes and uniformed police officers drag and beat an elderly gentleman, at his workplace and property.

The police took many hours to come up with the delayed and, as usual, manipulated version. They say they went to check Alimadhi's brother's place as a sports betting point. Even if this is true, they were there so that Olsi and Edi's companies would have no competition! Because no one else in town can place bets without Olsi and Edi taking a percentage.

Alimadhi is the sixth in the line of opposition party leaders to be attacked, taken hostage, arrested, and persecuted.

On behalf of the Democratic Party, I strongly condemn this illegal, cowardly act, this black hand of power over every free citizen.

The police, who appear strong with citizens, and squeamish with the strong in crime files, are not men but cowards who take orders from Enver's nephew and Kristaqi's son.
