Kedhi: EU tired of Rama, government should create credibility for investments

Nikola Kedhi from the 'Brain Gain' Department at the Democratic Party of Albania said that funds for financing and investments in Albania are not sought by putting on a 'show'.

In a link to Syri TV, Kedhi referred to photos that Rama advertises on Facebook from the US and with EU officials.

Kedhi said that for the funds you seek to receive from international partners, you must establish credibility as the leader of that country. Referring to the State Department report, Kedhi pointed out Albania's significant problems regarding the business and investment climate in our country.

"First, you need to know how to seek funds and lobby, not just to take photos with the American president or others, lobbying for your country, the region of Albania does it and your prime minister does not. Second, international government partners must have the credibility that the funds will be used properly. The DASH report says that investors find Albania difficult to do business in, and they find corruption in the public sector, judiciary and public procurement, money laundering, and again Albania is at low levels in the perception of corruption. In 98th place, out of 180. Will the funds spent be used efficiently, how will investors come to invest. They saw the IPARD money, at what cost the roads are being built, they cannot send serious funding to the government, when there are such significant problems.

There are endless signals that the West and not only the EU is tired of Rama. There are such signals, in the US the prime minister has not been going to high-level meetings for a while, since the McGonigal dossier broke there. In the EU, he is trying with his connections and the Soros network, the time has come to limit his influence to some extent, despite being relatively stronger than America. It has been seen not only how he squanders funds, but the time has passed when Albania was hidden from that invisible wall of embassies and somewhat corrupt diplomats who were more like members of Rama's cabinet than representatives of their countries.

"There is therefore greater awareness in the EU and European institutions about what has happened in Albania over the last decade with the appropriation of these funds. The Albanian government is asking for money without having projects. In order to ask for projects, you must have the development of the country as a priority, this is how the Albanian government has functioned over the years. It is enough to receive funds with that famous 'KÇK' principle, and then they find projects to implement them at extremely high costs, so that the amount of stolen money also increases. The moment has come for the EU to feel sorry for their funds, as they have too much for the Albanian government to squander ," Kedhi declared.
