Berisha: We are facing the philosophy of extorting businesses and citizens

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a conversation with journalists, revealed the Democratic Party's vision for the economy.

Berisha: Two philosophies confront each other in this campaign, the philosophy of economic freedom and the restriction of this freedom. More than in any other field, this is expressed in the position of the fiscal burden that weighs on citizens and businesses based on these philosophies. Economic freedom is a flat tax on profit of 10%. The philosophy of extortion of businesses and citizens, the profit tax is 15%. The tax on salaries for us will be 10%. It is currently 23%.

In the first 3 months of the DP government, the salaries of all Albanian salaried workers, which are taxed on the profit on the salary, will increase by 13%. Salaried workers will have a salary of 13%. They will take home 13% more than today. This is an unprecedented increase in 12 years. The tax on non-salary income, from 15% which is in the looting system, will be reduced to 10%. Small businesses without VAT will have an annual turnover of up to 180 thousand euros. Over 100 thousand euros of annual turnover, VAT will be applied. Small businesses without profit tax will be businesses with an annual turnover of up to 180 thousand euros, from 140 thousand euros which is today.
