"Milk with a carcinogenic toxin on the Albanian market", denunciation: The Ministry is hiding the scandal

The President of the Order of Veterinary Doctors, Ervin Resuli, has denounced that milk and its by-products are being sold on the Albanian market with aflatoxin M1, a carcinogenic toxin that is very dangerous to human health.

On social media, he writes that the scandal was hidden by the Ministry of Agriculture, as out of 26 samples taken from January 2024 to April 2025, 10 of them tested positive, meaning almost 40% of the milk tested was contaminated above food safety standards.

THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE HIDES THE AFLATOXIN SCANDAL – CONTAMINATED MILK ON THE ALBANIAN MARKET!

In complete secrecy from state institutions, Albanians have consumed milk and its by-products contaminated with aflatoxin M1, a carcinogenic toxin and very dangerous to human health. Of the 26 samples taken from January 2024 to April 2025, 10 of them tested positive, meaning almost 40% of the milk tested was contaminated above food safety standards.

In 2024, there were only 2 non-compliant samples. But for the first four months of 2025 alone, 8 non-compliant samples were detected – some with shocking values ​​such as 0.882 µg/kg, well above the maximum permitted limit of 0.05 µg/kg.

What have the authorities done?

They have been silent. They have not informed the public.

They have taken some "administrative measures" and blocked the product only after consumption.

They have demanded "traceability," while poisonous milk has ended up on our tables, in our children's glasses, in nurseries, kindergartens, schools, hospitals, and our homes.

Where are the results of inspections for milk circulating in factories, dairies, supermarkets, milk shops, restaurants, and neighborhood markets?

Why have no criminal charges been filed for distributing dangerous food?

Who are the factories that source this contaminated product?

The NFA has a legal obligation to inform the public!

Enough with hiding! Enough with risking lives!

Food safety is not a laboratory statistic, but a fundamental right of every Albanian.
