Martin Can's murder, 6 people testify in closed-door session

The court hearings continue regarding the serious incident that shocked public opinion in November last year, where 14-year-old Martin Cani was killed. Today, the Tirana Criminal Court heard the testimonies of 6 people regarding the murder of the minor, for which his peer, Mario Përlleshaj, is on trial.

Four of the witnesses are underage girls, who attend classes in a parallel class with the victim. They testified before the judge in the case in a closed session, due to their age and the sensitivity of the case. In addition to them, two adults who happened to be at the scene of the crime and were called as witnesses to help clarify the circumstances of the murder also testified.

Meanwhile, the next hearing on this matter is scheduled for June 25th.

We recall that the serious incident occurred on November 18, 2024, when, after a conflict between two minors outside the premises of the 9-year school "Fan Noli", Mario Përlleshaj stabbed his peer, Martin Cani, in the stomach. The latter managed to walk a few meters towards the school, but fell bleeding on the sidewalk and later died in the hospital. Also yesterday, the media published footage of the moment of the murder of the minor.
