Demand a recount of votes in Tirana, the Court dismisses Alimehmet's case

The Tirana Administrative Court of Appeal has decided to dismiss the request of the Democratic Party (DP) candidate, Ilir Alimehmeti, for a recount of votes in the Tirana district and the right to appeal.

Alimehmeti requested a recount of the votes and the right to appeal the electoral process, but the Court, acting on behalf of the Electoral College, decided to dismiss the case.

According to the decision, the case was dismissed due to the lack of legitimacy of the complaining party. The law stipulates that a single candidate cannot request the opening of ballot boxes unless it is the party that files the complaint.
