Anti-corruption action at the Ministry of Environment, mother of famous rapper

Kosovo Police conducted an action this Thursday at the premises of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, where several officials were arrested on suspicion of involvement in corruption. Among those arrested is Florije Kelmendi Selimi, the mother of the famous rapper Getoar Selimi.

According to the Police, the arrests were carried out by order of the competent Prosecutor's Office, within the framework of an investigation into the criminal offense of "Abuse of official duty or authority." In addition to Florija Kelmendi Selim, two other officials of this ministry were also arrested.

"The Kosovo Police with its relevant units, with the authorization of the competent Prosecution Office, is conducting investigations today in Pristina against several persons on suspicion of abuse of official duty," said Police Spokesperson Baki Kelani.

The action was also confirmed by the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina. Spokesperson Kaltrina Shala stated that investigative actions are being conducted in close coordination with the Police.

It is expected that after the completion of the necessary procedures, the justice authorities will provide more details about the case. The arrests have attracted increased attention due to the profile of one of the individuals involved in the investigation.
