MEP Fredi Beleri commented on the results of the May 11 elections this Thursday morning. Invited to the show 'Kafe Shqeto' on Syri TV, Beleri shed light on a suspicious scheme that, according to him, was used to manipulate the vote of Albanian immigrants in Greece.

According to Beleri, a significant number of Albanian administration employees were sent to Greece for a two-month period for the purpose of registering immigrants, suspiciously using the same addresses for dozens of citizens.

Beleri accuses the Albanian embassy in Athens of direct involvement in this process, and says that there was possible collaboration with Albanian employees of the DHL postal company, which distributed the envelopes with the ballots.

" From my information, all Albanian immigrants living in Greece know, about 400 administration people were installed for 2 months in Greece in every corner, to register people, declaring the same address for 150-100 people.

All of this was monitored by the Albanian Embassy in Athens. So when DHL delivered the envelopes, it couldn't find the addresses.

The day before the deadline for collecting the envelopes, there were 21 thousand envelopes. On the last day, surprisingly, another 24 thousand envelopes were found. This means that the Albanian Embassy collaborated with many Albanian workers who work at DHL, I don't know with whom else and how in one day it managed to collect 24 thousand envelopes, more than had been collected during the entire period that the process was carried out.

"This makes you question it. The way that patronageists apply in Albania, they also applied with the immigration vote, unfortunately," Beleri declared.
