A 28-year-old man has been arrested by Tirana Police after a firearm, a pistol and a quantity of cartridges, were found in the vehicle he was driving, a "Range Rover".

Police have announced that Fatbardh Mani, a resident of Domje, has been arrested. It is reported that he was stopped by blue uniforms in the village of Domje in the capital, where a firearm was also found inside his "Range Rover".

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old minor citizen, who was a passenger in the vehicle, along with the 28-year-old, has been criminally prosecuted.

Also, Tirana Police say they have also announced a search for citizens RT, 24 years old, the owner of the vehicle, and VB, 24 years old, the current user of the vehicle, both residents of Domje, as they are suspected of having given the vehicle to the 28-year-old.

The firearm, a pistol, and a quantity of combat ammunition were seized as material evidence.

Police Announcement:

A firearm was found in the vehicle he was driving, and the 28-year-old was arrested and handcuffed by the "Eagle" Special Forces.

The passenger of the vehicle is being prosecuted for failing to report a crime.

Two citizens are wanted (the owner of the vehicle and its current user).

As a result of surprise checks carried out by the services of the Special Force "Eagle", in various vehicles, a case of illegal possession of weapons has been detected. In the village of Domje, during the search in the vehicle with the driver, citizen FM, and a passenger, a 16-year-old citizen, the Police services found 1 firearm, a pistol, and a quantity of cartridges.

Following the actions in this case, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Vora Police Commissariat:

-arrested citizen FM, 28 years old, resident of Domje, for the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition";
-referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated for the 16-year-old, for the criminal offense "Failure to report a crime";

- Citizens RT, 24 years old, resident of Domje, the owner of the vehicle, and VB, 24 years old, resident of Domje, the current user of the vehicle, were declared wanted, as it is suspected that he gave the vehicle to the 28-year-old.

Work continues to apprehend the wanted citizens and document the case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
