Ahmed Kalaja

The Tirana Court held a hearing this Wednesday afternoon for Imam Ahmed Kalaja and several other people who are accused of distributing materials with interfaith incitement in several mosques in Tirana.

It is learned that at the end of the session, the court decided to separate the case against Imam Kalaja, who is accused of "obstructing the disclosure of the truth", under suspicion of having refused to submit important film footage for the investigation of the event that occurred in 2022.

The case against him will be kept separate in an independent process. Meanwhile, the other defendants involved in this investigation have been put on trial. It is learned that Imam Kalaja himself was not present at the hearing, but was represented by his lawyer.
