Democratic MP Tritan Shehu commented on the results of the May 11 elections this Wednesday. Invited to News 24, Shehu stated that the electoral process was manipulated and that the Democratic Party is conducting a "peaceful resistance" to the distortion of the vote.

Shehu has described the electoral process as a farce, while stating that the DP is continuing to collect evidence and facts that, according to him, remove the mask of the electoral process.

"There is evidence and facts inside and outside Albania. What Berisha says is true, evidence emerges every day. This is peaceful resistance to vote distortion. This will lead to the removal of the mask of this process. Apart from the DP, no one else is doing it. Materials are being collected every day. Contacts have begun with all international structures. Contacts will continue. We are still at the beginning of June. It is a process that is progressing step by step. I foresee a strong, politically tough autumn to establish democracy in Albania to counter vote distortion," said Shehu.
