After the arrest, Veliaj is also abandoned by his right-hand man: I have nothing

Arbian Mazniku, Erion Veliaj's right-hand man in the Municipality for years, seems to be distancing himself from him after his arrest.

In an interview with News24, he said that justice must do its job and that the Socialist Party is focused on the elections. This approach can be seen as a kind of abandonment, avoiding open support for Veliaj at a critical moment for him.

"Without a doubt, Erion is a close friend of mine and I miss him. We are not allowed to communicate. He is doing well and fighting his own battle. I believe that it is an issue that the Prime Minister has expressed exhaustively and I have nothing to add or take away from the position of the Socialist Party. It is a balanced and clear position. I have nothing to add, neither more nor less."

"I am a friend of Erion, but it is an irrelevant issue. We deserve that justice will follow the cases to the end. We must leave it to justice and not create insinuations. There has been an impact, but we are focused on the elections. I believe that on this issue the SP has had a very clear position and the issue that the justice reform is on track thanks to the SP and Edi Rama,"  he said.
