Tabaku: The lifting of the 'non-grata' against Berisha marked the end

Democratic Party candidate for deputy, Jorida Tabaku, stated on SYRI TV that internal debates in the DP now belong to the past and that the party is overwhelmingly united.

"The DP debates have long since ended, and I don't even want to go back to them because today the Democratic Party is 98% united. Any little thing that has gone, has been signed, has been totally compensated with the popular vote. Normally it will be compensated with the popular vote, there is no discussion about that."

She underlined that the removal of the 'non grata' for Berisha is a clear signal that the DP has no problems with the US or the EU and that this development strengthens the party's positions on the international stage.

" The removal of the non-grata against Mr. Berisha was a message first of all to the opponent, to taboos, to broken taboos. First, Mr. Berisha and secondly the DP, has absolutely no problem with the USA. There is no problem with the EU, Mr. Berisha was at the PP Congress, participating on stage, meeting with all world leaders. It was a very strong message, that the doors are open to the DP here and you know that the right is in government throughout the European Union today.

Even in Germany, the new government has just started. We, as the DP, have at least four ministers, a large group of people who have personal communications, who are there and will be there for the Democratic Party. Vadefuli has been the staunchest opponent. He opposed the changes in 2020 that made this code, changed this code and produced alliances. After June 5, he has been the fiercest opponent and I and some other colleagues in the DP have direct communication with him. And direct support from him, of course, is an open door for the Democratic Party.

But going to America, because America is America. Many of us, many DP colleagues in the Senate, in Congress and now with the DASH statement that has officially reacted to the non-grata issue. Many people had understood that it had fallen, many people had understood that it had fallen from the moment the American team came to work with the Democratic Party, otherwise there would have been both an impasse and a lack of communication in the relationship.

Yesterday it was made public for all Albanian citizens, for all those who had understood. It was a good message for Albanians. It was a good message for democrats, but it was a good message to understand that stability in politics in this case has fallen. Right prevailed in this case, but it prevailed that it was an unjust war. It was an unjust battle.”
