Election materials arrive in Durrës under strict security measures

Election materials for the May 11 local elections have started arriving today in the city of Durrës, transported by the Armed Forces and accompanied by police escorts, in the framework of guaranteeing an orderly and safe process.

The materials are being deposited in all 7 Zonal Election Administration Commissions (CEAZ) set up in the district of Durrës, where they will remain stored until the day of the vote.

This operation comes as part of intensive preparations for conducting elections with high standards of transparency and security.

The region of Durrës has a total of 377,020 registered voters, among them 25,037 immigrants with the right to vote. The distribution of voters in the district is as follows:

Durrës: 272,888 voters
Kruja: 66,140 voters
Shijak: 37,992 voters
Electoral authorities and security structures are committed to guaranteeing the smooth running of the electoral process at every stage, from logistics to vote counting.
