President Vjosa Osmani has taken the first step towards organizing an inclusive meeting to resolve the political impasse. Members of her cabinet announced that they will contact political parties to agree on a suitable time to organize the meeting.

President Vjosa Osmani will invite political party leaders to meet, in order to unblock the political situation.

The announcement from the President's Office was made a day after PDK's call to Osmani to organize a roundtable in order to find a solution to the impasse in the constitution of the new legislature.

"The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has already expressed her full readiness, as of April 16, to receive the leaders of political parties if they deem such a thing necessary. Until yesterday, we had no such request. Now that some parties have requested that the President call them to a joint meeting of leaders, the President's Cabinet will soon contact the political parties to see what is the appropriate time for everyone, for such an inclusive meeting," said the President's media advisor, Bekim Kupina.

On Thursday, representatives of the Democratic League said that in principle they are in favor of a meeting aimed at resolving the political impasse.

"We have put this proposal on the table. We are open to being present at such meetings to get the country out of the institutional deadlock. It depends on what the meeting is called for and what its purpose may be, it cannot answer hypothetical questions, but it was our proposal that all parliamentary parties gather somewhere to find a solution to the political deadlock," said Bajrami.

And, representatives of the Vetëvendosje Movement did not indicate how they would respond to a possible invitation from the president for such a meeting.

The leader of the party that won the elections, Albin Kurti, invited the leader of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, and the leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, to a meeting last week. Only Krasniqi attended the meeting, which did not produce a solution.
