Kuçana denounces scandal: 40 families at risk from use of Durrës

The Democratic Party's candidate for MP in Durrës, Ilirjana Kuçana, in a statement to the media before SPAK, denounced a scandal that occurred on Bajram Tusha Street, in the Shkozet area.

She accuses the Municipality of Durrës of misappropriating an approved project, wasting 1 million euros on a building that has endangered the lives of 40 families living there.

Kuçana said that residents are in a state of fear and panic, demanding an immediate investigation by SPAK and the protection of these families.

She also emphasized that these are just some of the government's latest attempts to maintain power, while calling on citizens to vote freely and peacefully, addressing international observers to oversee the electoral process.

Ilirjana Kucana:

"We are here to denounce a major scandal that occurred on Bajram Tusha Street, in the Shkozet area. The Mayor of Durrës has approved such a project, the implementation of which was a real project that was originally from the Durrës Municipality, but was alienated, and 1 million euros were spent on a building in Shkozet, where 40 families are located who are now at risk.

I was with the residents last night and I saw a state of fear, a state of panic, and the residents are not safe.

I call on SPAK and the head of SPAK to immediately launch an in-depth investigation and protect these 40 families. We are dealing with people's lives. We are here to protect people's lives. Today we must say that we are at the peak of the campaign, and on the other hand we must denounce that the last attempts of Rilindja have also begun, which know that their last day has come.

I want to remind you all of the statement of the American Embassy and international agencies: "The vote is secret, the vote is your future, and it has no price."

Dear citizens, vote freely! I also have a call for the administration: vote calmly and freely, as your vote will not be watched, but will be monitored by the European Union and all international agencies."
