The SP and the DP simultaneously closed the campaign for the May 11 elections in Tirana today.  

But how does their online audience present themselves? Aldor Nini, IT expert, told Euronews Albania that PD supporters are more active in comments and live broadcasts compared to SP supporters.

He also highlighted a difference between the two major parties in terms of online audience. 

" It was a little difficult to make this measurement because there were several social networks: Youtube, Facebook, mixed together."

For the closing of the campaigns, as far as we counted, there were somewhere around 30-32 thousand live viewers for the Democratic Party in different places. Meanwhile, Rama in one place had collected 3.4 thousand, in another place 4 thousand, so less in live broadcast. I think this is a result that we have seen in the past because the static videos that are uploaded to Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, the SP has a pretty large audience that distributes them on many profiles and on many pages. Those viewers that they generate in real time, those who are absolutely ardent sympathizers of the DP, are those who watch the material in real time or those who react with higher interactivity than those of the SP.

Rama has achieved more videos with viewership than the PD in general. With the PD we have a problem that we cannot count the viewers very accurately because a PD supporter also posts videos on his personal profile or a business, portal and you cannot collect them together as viewership, while for the PS videos I have seen very few that are posted and shared by people who may be neutral. It is the structure itself and the patrons who do this" , said expert Nini.
