Tirana Incinerator, Lala: Officials were punished as if they stole a chicken

Journalist Klodiana Lala commented on the punishment of officials for the Tirana incinerator affair. 

Invited to MCN TV, she said that the "big fish" of the affair were not investigated, while today we are in an environmental emergency and that inert materials are being deposited in rivers. 

"Millions of euros have been wasted, there is no incinerator. We are in an environmental emergency. The Seized Assets Agency has informed that waste must be separated at source because there is no room. While seven people are being punished, as if they stole a chicken, not that millions of euros have been spent, while some of them have had their sentences expunged, the problem becomes more serious because the corruption affair continues today."
