Murder of Gjovalin Prendit in Lezha, police: 64-year-old was executed by gunfire

A serious criminal incident occurred this evening in the village of Pllanë, Lezha, where a 64-year-old man was shot dead under still unclear circumstances.

The victim has been identified as Gjovalin Prendi, a resident of this village. Lezha Police have confirmed the news through an official statement, emphasizing that the incident occurred under circumstances that are currently under investigation.

Immediately after receiving the information, numerous State Police forces, supported by the National Security Force, Shkodra Unit, headed towards the scene of the incident to guarantee security and carry out the first investigative actions.

Meanwhile, a special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to uncover the motives and authorship of this murder.

Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the scene, but so far there have been no reports of any arrests.
