"He looked like he was possessed by the devil"/ Mark Samson's

The testimony of Nors Man Lapaz, the mother of Mark Antony Samson, the 23-year-old accused of the macabre murder of Ilaria Sula, the Albanian girl who was stabbed to death in his apartment in Rome on March 26, is shocking. The woman, who is under investigation for collaborating in hiding the body, gave shocking details during questioning on April 7.

"He opened the door for me and his face was no longer his own. He was red, he was shaking and he was talking like a demon. I thought he might hurt me too," she said.
According to her testimony, she saw Ilarian lying face down on the ground. Shocked, she asked her son what had happened, and he replied in Filipino:

“If I hadn’t done it, they would have killed me.”
The Rome prosecutor’s office considers the mother an accomplice in the crime, as she is suspected of helping to clean the room after the incident and hide the body. According to investigators, Ilaria Sula’s body was put in a suitcase, which Samson threw into an abyss about 40 kilometers from the capital, in the Capranica Prenestina area.

In her testimony, the woman said she had heard loud voices that morning:

“I heard them fighting, more her than him. I had never heard them talking so loudly before.”
Samson, she said, had asked her not to enter the room and then asked for a large suitcase and a plastic bag. At one point, he even asked for a hug.

The event has shocked public opinion in Italy and Albania, while investigations continue to shed light on all the circumstances of the brutal murder and the exact role of the perpetrator's mother.
