With guns and cocaine, thieves flee from police, crashing into officers' car

Two people have been arrested in flagrante delicto after attempting to flee from police.

EZ, 50, previously wanted for theft, and ET, 37, were driving a stolen vehicle, inside which they had cocaine and cold weapons.

The police have seized the stolen vehicle, the weapon and the narcotics. During the escape attempt, they also hit the officer's leg.

"The "Eagle" Special Force services of the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with those of Police Commissariat No. 5 and No. 4, after receiving information about a stolen vehicle in Elbasan, have organized the work to locate and capture them.

The driver of the vehicle, after seeing the Police, did not obey the order to stop but continued driving at high speed and in Babrru crashed into a Police vehicle, inside which were 2 police officers. The 2 Police officers were slightly injured in the collision.

The 2 citizens who were driving the stolen vehicle were neutralized and handcuffed by police officers.

During the search of this vehicle, the Police services found a quantity of suspected cocaine and a cold weapon, which were seized as material evidence, along with the vehicle.

At the conclusion of the procedural actions, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

EZ, 50 years old, resident of Tirana, wanted for several thefts;

ET, 37 years old, resident of Tirana.

The investigations suspect that citizen EZ, in collaboration with citizen ET, during the period February-April 2025, committed various thefts in Tirana, Krujë, Elbasan, Shijak and Klos.

Investigations are ongoing to document the criminal activities of these citizens.

"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
