Physically attacked by Demaliaj, Gjuzi speaks to Politiko: Patronazhist, threw

In an interview for Politiko.al, the leader of the Conservative Party and member of the Albanian Parliament, Kujtim Gjuzi, commented on the incident of the physical clash with analyst Ilir Demaliaj, which occurred in the lobby of Hotel Tirana. Gjuzi explained that although the clash had an aggressive character on Demaliaj's part, he does not intend to pursue legal action.

" I was in the lobby of Hotel Tirana with the president of the Tropoja Assembly, Ms. Sanie Isuf Hajdarmetaj, we were drinking something and chatting. At this moment, Ilir Demaliaj, the son of a former security guard, approached my table with insults and threats. I responded by telling him to sit down if he had anything to say, but not to insult me, " explained Gjuzi.

According to Gjuzi, after a moment of tension, Demaliaj returned to physically attack. " He returned, getting ready for a physical attack. I tried to avoid a physical confrontation and the security secretary, Ms. Hajdarmetaj, intervened. The fight was averted and after the intervention of the hotel security staff, the incident was closed without a major confrontation. "

Gjuzi emphasized that although they once had a conflict in their youth, today's clash was a reactivation of this conflict, turning it into televised and physical aggression. " We once had a conflict in our youth, but he has recycled this conflict, turning it into televised aggression and now an attempt at a physical clash. I returned his insults and curses towards me with the citizenship of 'native ' Tirana."

Gjuzi closed the interview by emphasizing that he would handle this aggression with sportsmanship and had no intention of dealing with it further. " I will handle this aggression with sportsmanship. Demaliaj is a patronizing man, without a family and who has had a strong connection to crime. He is a man who seeks to spread tension and I will not help him in this ."

Interview:

Question: Mr. Gjuzi, why did the clash with Ilir Demaliaj happen? What was the specific cause?

Kujtim Gjuzi: I was in the lobby of Hotel Tirana with the president of the Tropoja Assembly, Mrs. Sanie Isuf Hajdarmetaj. We were drinking something and talking. At that moment, Ilir Binak Demaliaj – Haxhiraj, the son of a former criminal security guard – approached my table with insults and threats.

Question: What was discussed between you a few moments before the physical incident occurred? Was there any verbal argument?

Kujtim Gjuzi:  I responded by saying: 'Sit down if you have something to say, but don't insult me.' After that, he came back getting ready for a physical attack. Furthermore, Demaliaj hurled insults and attempted to kick me, but I defended myself physically.

Question: Have you had any previous conflicts with Demaliaj?

Kujtim Gjuzi: We had a conflict in our youth, but he recycled it by turning it into televised and now almost physical aggression, which is accompanied by insults and curses towards me. For this reason, I responded by calling out to the citizens of 'autochthonous' Tirana.

Question: Will you take legal action against Ilir Demaliaj?

Kujtim Gjuzi: No, I will not file a legal report. So, I will pass over with sportsmanship the aggression of a patronizing man without a family, and the family is the foundation of the resurgence of crime. I think he is an aggressive man, we respond to aggressiveness calmly. We are also in a circle of friendship with him, because his father was a security criminal, which seems to have left psychotropic consequences on his son, who, fortunately for him, is a nephew in Tirana. So, I will pass over with sportsmanship the aggression of a patronizing man, without a family – and the family is the foundation of the resurgence of crime.
