34-year-old arrested in Vlora for carrying concealed firearms in apartment

A 34-year-old man identified as Brikel Alikaj has been arrested by the Vlora Police for hiding a pistol firearm in his apartment.

The Blues have seized 1 pistol firearm, with a magazine of cartridges, and cartridges for a Kalashnikov firearm.

The firearm will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute for expertise, in order to determine whether it was used in previous criminal events.

In this context, based on information obtained through operational channels, the services of the Vlora Police Commissariat, yesterday evening, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Nightfall 2".

As a result of this operation, citizen BA, 34 years old, resident of the village of Tragjas, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."

During the search of this citizen's apartment, the Police found and seized 1 pistol with a magazine and dozens of cartridges for a Kalashnikov.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Vlora Judicial District Court for further action.
