Video/ Rama's words become a fist, Ilir Demaliaj physically attacks Kujtim

An unusual clash was recorded today in the lobby of a luxury hotel in Tirana, where the protagonists were two figures known to the public: analyst Ilir Demaliaj and the chairman of the Conservative Party, also a member of the Albanian Parliament, Kujtim Gjuzi.

In a video that is making the rounds on the internet, the moment is clearly visible when Ilir Demaliaj, in an aggressive manner, approaches Gjuzi and kicks him, as the latter tries to leave. There is also a woman next to Demaliaj, who tries to stop the fight, but ends up being pushed and knocked to the ground by the analyst.

The motives for this physical clash have not yet been clarified, but the event has raised major questions about the public role of individuals who claim to be analytical voices and political representatives.

Ilir Demaliaj, who has recently become an ardent defender of Edi Rama in the television studios, has publicly admitted that he is a cousin of the prime minister's wife, Linda Rama. Meanwhile, Kujtim Gjuzi has been listed as one of the most vocal allies of the opposition and a supporter of Sali Berisha in the May 11 elections.

The unusual event has been widely commented on as a consequence of the accumulated tensions in Albanian politics and the aggressive language being conveyed by its leaders.
