Rama lures teachers with electoral promises: I will raise their salary to 1250

Prime Minister Edi Rama held an activity today at the "Besnik Sykja" school in Tirana.

Among other things, Rama promised teachers that within this decade the average salary for them will be 1,250 euros.

"Salaries, you know, have been increasing continuously. Today, the average teacher's salary is 950 euros. It is a dignified salary, but it is not enough. The work of teachers, the difficulty of the work is not decreasing, but increasing. The difficulty is not physical work, but it is a psychological difficulty. Our plan is that in the coming years, within this decade, we will increase the average teacher's salary to 1250 euros. I do not believe we will have a problem with this ," said Rama.
