The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu announced that this week in Albania is expected to arrive over 11 thousand vaccines from Pfizer. Through a statement to the media from "Skënderbej" square, the minister said that the next objective is to carry out 1 million vaccines.

According to Manastirliu, the total number of vaccines arrived in Albania is over 736 thousand. Since the beginning of the process, a total of 504,386 vaccinations have been carried out, 403,066 of which for persons over 60 years of age. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination for the elderly has started.

"There are over 736 thousand doses of vaccine already arrived in the country. While we are expecting this week 11,700 doses of vaccine, which come from the contract we have with Pfizer and part of them, from the contract we have entered into with the European Union, as part of the instrument that the European Union has built to support countries Balkans " , said Manastirliu.
