A heat wave will sweep across Albania next week

A powerful heat wave is expected to hit Italy and the Balkan region, including Albania, over the coming week. According to meteorological data, a powerful anticyclone will position itself over the Italian peninsula, bringing a significant increase in temperatures from the south to the north of the country.

Forecasts indicate that the extreme heat will not be limited to Italy, but will also extend to the Western Balkans, including Albania, where temperatures are expected to exceed seasonal averages. The scorching weather will encompass almost the entire territory, while only the Alpine areas and mountain heights may experience relative coolness.

Forecasters warn that this situation could bring days with temperatures above 35°C in some cities in Albania, especially in low-lying areas and those near the coast. It is also recommended to take extra care for groups sensitive to heat, such as the elderly and children, and to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours.
