From Sako to Cara/ What are the four SP women who took over the

The local elections ranked the Socialist Party first, winning 50 municipalities so far, while the "Together We Win" coalition took 7 municipalities of the country, ranking second.

Four women will lead the country's 4 municipalities, in Lushnja, Bulqiza, Kurbin and Durrës. Eriselda Sefa, Festime Mjeshtri, Majlinda Cara and Emiriana Sako are the future leaders of local governments.

ERISELDA SEFA

In the partial elections of March 6, Eriselda Sefa was elected head of the Municipality of Lushnja. Sefa received the vote of confidence of the party and the structures they interacted with.

Lushnja was the only municipality where the candidate's name was postponed after he passed the runoff with Krenar Haxhiu.

On May 14, Sefa received the full mandate of the mayor of Lushnjë. She collected 22,453 votes against the opponent of "Bashke Fitomje", Eduart Sharka, who collected a total of 13,393 votes.

KAS fined Eriselda Sefa 100,000 ALL after she was accused of administrative violations in the context of the March 6 election campaign.

MASTER CELEBRATION

Celebrations The master won the Municipality of Bulqiza with 8364 votes. The master has been engaged in politics in the district of Dibra for years. The master also worked in health institutions, as part of health promotion, engaged with all women in the fight against domestic violence, breast cancer, diabetes, drugs, tobacco.

Festime Mjeshtri has worked as an external teacher in the Nursing profile, currently director at the Bulqiza hospital.

MAJLINDA CARA

In 2019, Majlinda Cara took over the leadership of the Municipality of Kurbin. May 14 gave Cara his second mandate in this municipality.

Cara's career as mayor would be 'shaken' by the earthquake of November 26, 2019, when the duty of the municipality in the distribution of housing to those affected by the devastating earthquake was called into question.

At that time, the residents of Kurbin denounced Cara that he had not yet been given the keys to the houses rebuilt after the earthquake, even though about 20 days had passed since their inauguration.

Cara justified the delay in handing over the keys with the argument that the procedures had to go through the Council of Ministers first.

EMIRIANA SAKO

Sako appeared to be Rama's favorite in the May 14 elections, as he also closed the campaign for the SP from Durrës. Rama's connections with Durres are certainly strong, taking as an example the project of the Port of Durres, worth millions of euros, which will be invested by the Arab businessman Alabbar.

Sako assumed the post of mayor in 2019, when she succeeded Vangjush Dako.
