Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Rome today, where he is taking part in the ceremony for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Albania and the Holy See.

Rama is accompanied by his wife Linda and son Zaho, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Olta Xhaçka.  

During his speech, Rama recalled his meeting with Pope Francis when his wife was pregnant with Zaho, while adding that that meeting will remain in his memory.

"Very honored eminence, ladies and gentlemen, ambassadors, honorable participants, I am honored to be in these places, in the eternal city, Mater et magistra where Pope Francis would receive me for the second time with my wife Linda and son my Zaho, who was still in his mother's womb when the Holy Father first received us.

The grace of that meeting followed by the visit of His Holiness in Albania will still remain intact in my memory. "I remember that he was received by an immense love from thousands upon thousands of Albanians, Catholics, Muslims, Orthodox, who had gathered in Mother Teresa Square, on the land of religious brotherhood, as he himself defined it in that case ", said Rama among others.
