A 56-year-old woman has been arrested in Tirana by the Police after she photographed the ballot paper at a polling station at the “Ali Demi” school. The incident has been confirmed by Police Station No. 1, which reports that after receiving the alert, the police services organized the work to identify, escort and then arrest in flagrante delicto the citizen AH, resident of Tirana.

She is accused of the criminal offense of "Violation of the secrecy of voting".

Meanwhile, in two other cases, in the electoral units covered by Police Stations No. 3 and No. 4, two other citizens were also escorted, suspected of having committed the same act – photographing their vote.

The police inform that the relevant investigative and procedural actions are being carried out for the cases in question, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities have called on citizens to respect the rules and avoid any actions that violate the electoral process and the secrecy of the vote.
