After the DP's request to separate the votes of the diaspora in Greece, the

The Central Election Commission has decided to continue counting the diaspora's ballots, but excluding the envelopes arriving from Greece.

According to the CEC, this act aims to unblock the process and will result in a second decision-making process for the Greek envelopes.

"When, during the process of evaluating the electoral documentation from abroad, the GNVJ and/or, as the case may be, the KANVJ does not evaluate the envelope/envelopes "B" part of this documentation, then this envelope/envelopes are placed in a box like the ballot box inside the country. The box is sealed with seals with security codes, the numbers of which are noted in a report, the original of which is submitted to the CEC on a case-by-case basis.

The evaluation of "B" envelopes administered under this act is subject to further review according to the provisions of the Electoral Code and the acts issued on its basis and for its implementation.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published on the official website of the Central Election Commission.

This decision may be appealed to the Appeals and Sanctions Commission within 3 (three) days of its announcement.”
