Topalli ironizes the result in Fier: Albania in the 'club of

Political leader of the Democratic Party for the Diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, commented on the results of the voting in the Fier district, where according to preliminary data, the Socialist Party received 92% of the diaspora votes.

Through a post on social media, Topalli compared this result to those of autocratic regimes around the world, citing leaders such as Vladimir Putin in Russia (87%), Alexander Lukashenko in Belarus (80%), Bashar Al-Assad in Syria (95%) and Kim Jong-un in North Korea (100%).

She ironically underlined that "Albania has officially joined the club of autocrats on the planet, where the result of the vote is known before the envelope arrives."

Topalli has described the process as an electoral farce and the most serious in the last three decades, casting strong doubts over the way the emigrant vote was administered.

The result in Fier – 92% for the government… from the diaspora!

Let's compare it to some of the world's "champions of democracy":

* Putin (Russia) – 87% in the last election

* Lukashenko (Belarus) – 80%

* Assad (Syria) – 95%

* Kim Jong-un (North Korea) – 100% (with one “no” vote)

* Edi Rama in Fier – 92% from the diaspora

Albania has officially joined the club of autocrats on the planet, where the result of the vote is known before the envelope arrives.

This is the most brutal electoral farce in 3 decades.
