KAS reviews DP's request for the invalidity of the elections in Dibër

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) has today begun reviewing the Democratic Party's request to declare the May 11 parliamentary elections in the Dibra region invalid.

The DP claims that the electoral process in this region was accompanied by a series of serious violations, from the involvement of the public administration and the use of patronage, to vote buying and voter intimidation.

In the complaint submitted to the CEC, opposition representatives highlight the presence of directors of state institutions in voting centers, who are accused of exerting pressure on citizens in favor of the Socialist Party.

The DP also emphasizes that in the four municipalities of the region - Dibër, Bulqizë, Klos and Mat - a well-organized system of political influence has been observed, which has affected the free will of the voters.
