Tirana police have arrested a 33-year-old Albanian man who was internationally wanted by Italy.
Erjon Mera has been placed in custody for extradition to Italy, where he was sentenced by the Naples Court of Appeal to 8 years and 6 days in prison for several serious criminal offenses, including "Armed Robbery", "Attempted Murder" and "Unlicensed Possession of Weapons".
The arrest of the wanted man was made after well-coordinated work between the structures of Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, as well as the specialized units for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against the Person and Money Laundering and Criminal Assets in the Tirana Police.
