A person was declared wanted today by the police in Mirdita after he is accused of shooting at the apartment of a 30-year-old man, the brother of his ex-wife.

Police say the cause was a family dispute. After the incident, damage was found on the wall of the apartment, caused by the use of a firearm.

Police services continue their work to locate and capture him.

At around 02:30 on 20.06.2025, citizen E. Ç., 30 years old, notified the operations room of the Mirdita Police Station that a gunshot had been fired in the direction of his apartment.

The Police and the investigation team immediately went to the scene. Upon inspection, damage was found to the wall of the apartment, caused by the use of a firearm.

As a result of rapid investigative actions, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrator, citizen LV, 51 years old, resident of the village of Nerfushaz, who is suspected of having shot at the apartment of citizen E. Ç., the brother of his ex-wife, due to a family conflict.
Citizen LV had been declared wanted the day before, after having exercised physical violence against the same person.

Intensive work continues to locate and capture him.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further action.
