The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has denounced this Friday with photos and videos the manipulations that were carried out during the electoral process.

In a statement to the media, Berisha accused the head of the government, Edi Rama, of being behind these manipulations, who has deceived not only the vote in the country but also that of the diaspora. In the released video, Albanian emigrants claim that they took the envelopes at the 'OPAP' gambling center.

Berisha said that the process was nationalized through corrupt mechanisms, including subcontractors and embassies. The DP leader states that the documents and videos he presents absolutely prove an "ugly constitutional electoral crime."

He described the process as an act of nationalization of the vote through massive corruption and called it "a serious blow to the ideals of freedom of Albanians."

According to him, the manipulation of the vote of 340 thousand emigrants is unprecedented and represents an act of revenge against the citizens. Berisha called this process an instrument of the narco-dictatorship in Albania. He called on the citizens to prepare for an uncompromising battle against the government.

Irrefutable documents prove Edi Rama's ugly constitutional electoral crime, his extreme manipulation, the nationalization of the diaspora voting process through the most major corrupt acts ever known.

The naturalization and manipulation of the vote of the majority of Albanians living abroad, who this time with a representation of 340 thousand people chose to vote, is a serious blow to the ideals of freedom of Albanians, to their major efforts to be together, regardless of where they live, to enjoy the constitutional rights of their country of origin.

This manipulation is unprecedented in the history of diaspora voting and I can tell you here that to my knowledge, the Albanian diaspora is the last to gain the right to vote.
Albania remained the only country in which, just like in the dark days of the communist dictatorship, they were not allowed to vote, despite the fact that they had the right to vote in the Constitution and in official documents and were listed on the voting lists.

This primitive act of revenge, humiliating for every Albanian citizen, this act that tramples on the ideals of freedom of Albanians, de facto transformed the diaspora's electoral process into an ugly instrument of the Albanian narco-state, the narco-dictatorship in Albania.

The DP in its battle, in its fight for the free vote of Albanians, has the greatest confidence that the Albanian diaspora will mobilize and engage with all its strength, its potential, against the narco-dictatorship of Edi Rama in Albania and will make a great contribution to restoring the right to vote to Albanian citizens in Albania and wherever they are.
