Drug gangs in Tirana cracked down, 24 arrested, 8 wanted (NAMES)

An operation conducted by the Tirana Police has led to the crackdown on several criminal groups involved in drug trafficking in the capital.

As part of this operation, 24 people were arrested and 8 others were wanted, suspected of selling doses of cocaine and heroin in nightclubs in the Ish-blokut area.

According to the Police, the arrested are:

Meanwhile, it is reported that 8 other citizens have been declared wanted.

Also during the operation and searches in the homes of the arrested, the following were found and seized as material evidence: 1 kg and 964 grams of cocaine, 450 grams of heroin, 85 kg of Cannabis Sativa (seized during preliminary investigations), 2 firearms, pistols, 29 cell phones, 6 vehicles, 4 electronic scales, and significant amounts of money in lek and euros, which are suspected to have been obtained from drug trafficking.
