Iranian President: We will not stop nuclear program

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says his country will not halt its nuclear activity nor give up its right to pursue a civilian nuclear program, according to the country's official IRNA news agency.

In a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian reportedly said that Iran was ready to offer guarantees to build confidence in Iran's nuclear activities, but its nuclear program could not be removed by threats or war.

Pezeshkian also warned Macron that his country's response to continued Israeli attacks would be "most devastating," IRNA reports.

Pezeshkian said Iran is "ready for dialogue and cooperation to build trust regarding the country's peaceful nuclear activities," the agency added.
